Discount Offers With Your Credit Cards

Do you use a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express card when you buy groceries, clothing, or other needed items each month? (see my travel tips for more information on why you should be putting ALL of your monthly bills on credit cards each month to earn travel points and miles). If you aren’t paying attention to the offers on your card, you may be missing out on saving money on your purchases.

Over a few years in using my American Express Hilton credit card, I have saved $641.65, since opening the card, on everyday purchases from Walmart, restaurants, and more. So, where do you find these offers? If you login to your American Express (or other credit card, account, you will see a section like this:

You see that I have 100 available offers, 6 added to my card (you choose your offers) and the Savings tab will show you what you have earned for statement credits.

Don’t miss out! Check the offers daily, weekly, or whenever you can find for time (download apps for your cards, it’s a quick check from your phone). If you are making a sizable purchase, be sure to check your offers before – as you may have a deal waiting!

(ps. not only am I receiving statement credit reward for my purchases, but I’m also earning hotel points to use when staying at Hilton properties. Apply for a card here. )

Offers like these are also available with your Visa or MasterCard accounts. Check it out and start saving!
